CISO – Private Equity – work with PortCos

Can you manage security for multiple companies at the same time?

You’re going to be coming in to manage all aspects of IT security across all of the portfolio companies of this PE firm. You’ll be working closely with the CTO who has up to now been doing this job, but the fund and number of PortCos have grown so much, your oversight is needed to take some of the weight off.

There are two main focuses; one on the manufacturing side, so think ERP implementations and migrations, the other on SaaS, in particularly product evolution and SaaS security. You’ll work closely with the C-Suite at each PortCo and help to mitigate risk, perform annual risk assessments and much more, all under your guidance.

You’ll need to take a hands-on approach, you can’t sit above your team and let them do everything. You can do this role from anywhere across the USA, but you must be able to conduct meetings via VC and travel to PortCos in any area of the world when required.

In terms of experience, having exposure within the PE space is key. Alternatively, a strong background in IT Security and any experience of M&As and investments will be desired. You may well have gained this experience in a portco currently.

Ideally, your be operating within a SaaS or Manufacturing / Industrial firm that are PE backed and regularly report into the parent company.

This is a well-known PE firm, with almost $100bn assets under management and a strong growth plan over the coming years. You’ll be a huge part of that working closely with the CTO and other members of the operating group.
