The Opportunity :

The Director of Health Equity leads the development and implementation of a comprehensive framework to improve health equity and address social determinants of health (SDOH) barriers to improve access to quality care and health outcomes for AlohaCare members. This position will represent AlohaCare externally as well as advance internal team member understanding of Native Hawaiian culture and health needs.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities :

• Develop, implement, and oversee a health equity plan that integrates innovative strategies to address disparities and promote equity for AlohaCare members.
• Collaborate with Executive Council members and AlohaCare departments to integrate strategies for building and maintaining strong external relationships with organizations that address Native Hawaiian population health and other underserved populations.
• Lead the creation and refinement of policies and procedures (P&Ps) that embed health equity and SDOH principles across the organization.
• Establish metrics and conduct regular evaluations of health equity programs to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
• Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, providers, and other external stakeholders to advance health equity and SDOH goals.
• Responsible for influencing and driving adoption of health equity and SDOH programs and best practices across AlohaCare.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications :

Salary Range : $111,000 - $140,000 annually
