Job description

Finance Product Enablement Team Member

PayPal has been revolutionizing commerce globally for more than 25 years. Creating innovative experiences that make moving money, selling, and shopping simple, personalized, and secure, PayPal empowers consumers and businesses in approximately 200 markets to join and thrive in the global economy.

We operate a global, two-sided network at scale that connects hundreds of millions of merchants and consumers. We help merchants and consumers connect, transact, and complete payments, whether they are online or in person. PayPal is more than a connection to third-party payment networks. We provide proprietary payment solutions accepted by merchants that enable the completion of payments on our platform on behalf of our customers.

We offer our customers the flexibility to use their accounts to purchase and receive payments for goods and services, as well as the ability to transfer and withdraw funds. We enable consumers to exchange funds more safely with merchants using a variety of funding sources, which may include a bank account, a PayPal or Venmo account balance, PayPal and Venmo branded credit products, a credit card, a debit card, certain cryptocurrencies, or other stored value products such as gift cards, and eligible credit card rewards. Our PayPal, Venmo, and Xoom products also make it safer and simpler for friends and family to transfer funds to each other. We offer merchants an end-to-end payments solution that provides authorization and settlement capabilities, as well as instant access to funds and payouts. We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Our beliefs are the foundation for how we conduct business every day. We live each day guided by our core values of Inclusion, Innovation, Collaboration, and Wellness. Together, our values ensure that we work together as one global team with our customers at the center of everything we do and they push us to ensure we take care of ourselves, each other, and our communities.

This role serves as a key member of the Finance Product Enablement (FPE) team, responsible for managing complex, cross-functional initiatives that support the delivery of scalable financial solutions across PayPal's product ecosystem driving end-to-end execution readiness from intake through launch. This role requires strong analytical thinking, structured problem solving, and the ability to influence outcomes across multiple teams. The individual will proactively identify risks, manage dependencies and ensure alignment on financial design artifacts to support successful product launches. This role also plays a critical part in establishing and reinforcing operating discipline, including intake governance, dependency commitments, and portfolio-level reporting.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain the process for responding to customer impacts
  • Identify issues within business processes and recommend best practices for improvement.

  • Collaborate with team members to develop solutions that streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Drive the implementation of process improvement initiatives across various departments
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members in process management and analysis.

Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications :

  • Manage a portfolio of complex, high-visibility initiatives across Consumer and/or Core Platform products, ensuring alignment with Finance and Product priorities
  • Drive end-to-end execution readiness by coordinating intake, requirement definition, dependency tracking, testing, and launch activities
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Finance stakeholders to define and validate financial design requirements (e.g., BRDs, FSDs, T-accounts, data flows)
  • Identify, assess, and escalate risks proactively, with clear articulation of business impact and recommended mitigation strategies
  • Manage dependencies across internal teams and external/vendor partners (e.g., APSS, FTI), ensuring readiness and alignment with delivery timelines
  • Oversee testing readiness and execution, including user acceptance testing (UAT), data validation, and defect resolution tracking
  • Establish and maintain structured portfolio reporting, including status updates, risk tracking, and end-of-month communications to stakeholders
  • Drive process improvements to reduce rework, improve upstream readiness, and enhance operational efficiency across the product lifecycle
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline workflows and ensure consistency in execution across business units
  • Contribute to the evolution of FPE's operating model, including intake governance, dependency commitments, and performance metrics

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in program management, business process management, finance operations, or product delivery within a complex organization
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of financial systems, product lifecycle, and/or payments ecosystem (e.g., PayPal, Venmo, credit products, or transaction flows)
  • Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Operations teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate ambiguity into structured execution plans
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex issues clearly to senior stakeholders
