Our recruiting firm is partnering with a client to hire a Process Safety Management (PSM) Specialist . This position can be based in Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, or Eastern Michigan and is less customer-facing and more technical, so it's ideal for someone who enjoys detailed, independent work while supporting compliance in industrial refrigeration and chemical processes.
What You'll Do
- Read and interpret piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
- Draft and review standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Support PSM elements such as PHAs, MOCs, mechanical integrity inspections, and incident investigations
- Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with OSHA 1910.119 and EPA RMP standards
- Provide clear SOPs and guidance for employees with less technical backgrounds
- Perform plant walk-throughs when needed, including climbing ladders for inspections
