The Process Engineer involves taking an integrated view of the project to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to schedule and budget. The Process Engineer also provides technical leadership, ensures efficient resource allocation, and coordinates engineering activities to meet project objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Execution :
Perform basic and detailed design engineering for anaerobic digestion, municipal solid waste, biogas treatment, and biogas upgrading systems.
Develop and review conceptual designs, process flow diagrams (PFDs), and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
Conduct engineering calculations including heat and material balances.
Prepare process scope documents, equipment specifications, and data sheets using company standards.
Perform equipment sizing and review equipment proposals and submittals.
Plan engineering activities for assigned projects and monitor progress.
Work closely with Project Managers (PMs) and Plant Managers to ensure alignment on project goals, budget, and schedule.
Interface with plant operations and internal engineering teams to resolve technical issues and optimize operations.
Conduct regular meetings to provide updates on engineering progress and discuss potential challenges.
Conduct process hazard analysis (PHA) and ensure compliance with local safety standards.
Provide technical support during commissioning and operational phases.
Perform lab tests and manage pilot projects.
Identify and mitigate risks throughout the design, construction, and operation phases of the project.
