Procurement Specialist

Our operations needs an experienced, cost-conscious Procurement Specialist to take our procurement and purchasing to the next level. We are looking for a CPG savvy professional who has extensive experience in food manufacturing and can institute innovative policies to save the company money and improve our product quality. Specifically, we are looking for someone who can focus on quality, improve relations with our existing suppliers and find new suppliers that can meet our needs more efficiently. We are a forward-thinking operation and looking for someone to grow with our company. The Procurement Specialist will report to the Accounting Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Ensure that the supply chain needs are met timely and in a cost-effective manner.
• Manage supply and demand models to forecast our input needs required to meet changing demand.
• Collaborate with department managers to understand dependencies and time sensitive factors in supply chain.
• Manage existing and new relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Participate and negotiation prices and volume levels with vendors and suppliers
• Research and onboard / offboard new vendors and suppliers
• Maintain acceptable inventory levels for all materials and supplies
