As part of this transformation, they are seeking an entrepreneurial Head of Procurement to drive procurement operations and take their business to the next level. In this position, you will take full ownership of the procurement function, leading its development and ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. The role involves crafting procurement policies, building a capable team, and establishing robust supplier partnerships across domestic and international markets. You will work closely with plant management to align inventory with production demands while maintaining meticulous oversight of inventory systems and processes. Your ability to navigate ERP systems, preferably NetSuite, will be essential in optimising procurement and ensuring seamless operations.

A strong strategic focus will be required to analyse the business's cost drivers and guide procurement decisions. Negotiating contracts, managing bids, and driving competitive supplier relationships will be key aspects of your role. At the same time, your hands-on approach will see you actively involved in inventory tracking, maintaining accurate stock counts, and addressing challenges such as quality claims or supply chain inefficiencies.

The ideal candidate will bring at least seven years of experience in procurement and inventory management, ideally within the food industry. Familiarity with sourcing and importing products internationally, particularly in sectors such as meat or proteins , would be highly advantageous. Exceptional analytical and communication skills are essential, and fluency in Spanish and English is a distinct advantage. You should be adaptable, collaborative, and capable of managing multiple priorities while building strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
