Our client, a growing manufacturer, is looking for a Procurement Buyer to join their Supply Chain team.
Full time / direct hire
Onsite (5 days) in Van Nuys
Buyer Overview :
As the Buyer, you will be responsible for assisting with managing all aspects of buying. You will manage the selection, purchasing, and delivery of assigned categories.
Buyer Responsibilities :
- Oversee opportunistic buying based on vendors or classifications and achieve targeted sales and margin performance
- Identify new opportunities, pursue new vendors, source new markets, and maintain strong relationships with various cross-functional partners
- Build strong relationships with vendors and exhibit trust, integrity, and follow-up, visit showrooms, select products, and handle negotiations
- Manage BOM / Bill of Materials and support the creation on new ones
- Manage inbound logistics including working with International Vendors and Freight Forwarders to ensure all goods arrive to the correct location
- Monthly reconciliation for primary and secondary packaging.
- Partner with Contract Manufacturers (domestic fillers) to ensure goods are filled on time.
