  • Job Summary

    Reporting to the Facilities Director, the Procurement Analyst performs procurement on non-routine facilities goods and services; they are responsible for handling complex procurements such as construction contracts and large volume commodity contracts, researching specifications and supply sources, and performing dispute resolution.

    Essential Functions

    30% - Coordinates and executes procurement for Facilities and Facilities projects. Reviews purchasing requests; interfaces and maintains contact with internal and external stakeholders regarding purchases; negotiates contracts for college equipment and / or services.

    25% - Monitors and administers contracts and / or agreements; resolves issues with vendors / suppliers; obtains bids and quotes from vendors for facilities services and projects, including both operational and capital expenditures.

    20% - Generates reports and provides analysis and recommendations to Facilities Director / VPAS on budget status, expenditures, and purchasing trends to assist with future operational and strategic planning. Monitors data, records, and budgets; ensures compliance with any warranties and / or service agreements.

    15% - Will serve as a major participant and coordinator in the research of options for equipment and commodity materials. Researches specifications, supply sources, quotes, change orders and claims; oversees and coordinates the procurement of items such as fixtures, equipment, and furniture; manages and reconciles procurement card.

    10% - Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in business administration or related field and two (2) full-time equivalent years of professional-level procurement experience

    An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered

    Desired Qualifications

  • Possession of a credential as a Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO), Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) and / or a Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM)
  • Demonstrated skill in coordinating / persuading groups to reach consensus
  • Demonstrated skill in providing quality customer service
  • Demonstrated skill in contract management and contract compliance
  • Demonstrated skill in data compilation, analysis, and track record of developing logical and reasoned recommendations
  • Demonstrated skill in developing proposal requests and evaluation procedures regarding those requests
  • Demonstrated skill in research of industry trends for maintenance and operations activities
  • Demonstrated skill in financial data reporting associated with budgets and public entity procurement
  • Special Working Conditions

  • Limited field work to include campus buildings, central plants, mechanical rooms, and campus grounds as necessary. These can involve exposure to loud environment and hot and cold work areas for review of procurement needs.
