Procurement Manager Life Science & Industrial Manufacturing Projects
Platinum Global Talent Solutions is delighted to partner with our client a leading global Consultancy renowned for delivering highprofile complex and iconic largescale capital projects. With a strong focus on sustainability and innovation our client is at the forefront of their industry.
We are seeking to appoint a fulltime talented Procurement Manager to support major capital projects in the Life Science and Industrial Manufacturing sectors. In this exciting clientfacing role you will have the opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams taking responsibility for managing the procurement of work and subcontract packages overseeing the tender process and ensuring cost control systems are in place to ensure project objectives are aligned with the client goals.
Responsibilities
Procurement and Package Management : Oversee the procurement of work packages by collaborating with package managers and coordinating with the project Commercial Lead to ensure the timely and costeffective acquisition of services and materials.
Risk Mitigation and Cost Control : Implement robust risk management processes and reporting mechanisms to identify mitigate and manage risks safeguarding work packages and overall project margins through effective cost control systems.
Subcontract Management : Oversee the full life cycle of subcontract procurement including preparing and administering tender documentation managing subcontractor selection and overseeing performance from procurement through to final account settlement.
Commercial Reporting and Package Management : Ensure the accurate management and reporting of commercial packages providing regular updates and insights to the project commercial lead while ensuring all activities align with budget and contract terms.
Collaboration for Sustainability and Profitability : Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to pursue project goals focusing on opportunities for cost savings value engineering and change management while contributing to the achievement of netzero carbon targets and reducing associated carbon emissions throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Degree in Commercial Management Engineering Construction Management or other relevant degree
- Experience working on significant Life Science Industrial Manufacturing or other complex capital projects
- Exceptional planning and organizational abilities coupled with excellent communication skills enabling effective collaboration and networking with colleagues key stakeholders and senior leaders while demonstrating strong problemsolving capabilities.
- Experience in establishing cost control systems leading value engineering and cost exercises preparing monthly commercial reports and subcontract profit and loss reporting.
- Administering monthly commercial calendar and value sustainability and social responsibility.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
