Job Overview :

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Procurement Associate with Hybrid Talent Development Specialist (Trainer) and Technician Roles in the Omaha, NE area. This position will transition into either a full time warehouse position, classroom / training environment, or a floating technical resource.

The Trainer, who provides training to incoming Broadband and Drop technicians and team members, must be a subject matter experts ("SME") of the field installation processes. This requires them to stay up to date on company and client changes to ensure training is current and procedures are streamlined. They are well versed in client provided training modules, facilitator guides, and exercises. Trainer maintains a well-organized and effective training environment and continuously improves training material and employee retention.

The Procurement Associate is responsible for creating a functional work environment via maintenance of the warehouse, inventory and data entry. The incumbent is also responsible for developing and delivering training to warehouse staff to ensure safety protocols are upheld.

Key Responsibilities Technician (10% of time spent in a given week) :

  • Installation & Maintenance : Perform fiber / broadband installations and troubleshooting, ensuring that all work meets project specifications and deadlines.
  • Fleet & Equipment Management : Help maintain and monitor the team's fleet and equipment. Ensure vehicles are properly maintained and prepared for daily operations.
  • Work Flexibility : Be prepared to work outside of regular hours, including weekends and holidays, as necessary while acting as a float technician. Main responsibilities will work within our warehouse location in Bellevue NE. Locations operate 7AM to 4 : 30 PM, shifts may adjust based on business needs and delivery windows.

Key Responsibilities Talent Development Specialist (25% of time spent in a given week) :

  • Training & Safety Compliance : Ensure all technicians are adequately trained on installation processes and safety protocols. Enforce adherence to OSHA regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Work Flexibility : Be prepared to work outside of regular hours, including weekends and holidays, as necessary while acting as a float technician. Main responsibilities will work within our warehouse location in Bellevue NE. Locations operate 7AM to 4 : 30 PM, shifts may adjust based on business needs and delivery windows.
  • Training Coverage : Current trainer pool is remotely based, this role will become familiar with the curriculum and assist with in person remedial training, guided in person specialty training. This will be a part time function of this overall position with the ability to grow as a full time trainer if interested.
  • Key Responsibilities Procurement Associate (65% of time spent in a given week) :

  • Mitigate any identified safety issues in a timely manner
  • Communicate regularly with both management and technicians
  • Greet and assess needs of all technicians

  • Communicate inventory changes, shortages to management and technicians
  • Interpret and fill technicians material orders
  • Complete stock handling of company assets including, but not limited to :
  • Physically receive items into the stock

  • Fill out necessary paperwork
  • Label and face boxes accurately
  • Stock shelves for easy identification and safety
  • Participate in cycle counts or inventory spot checks and communicate stock levels to the supervisor(s)
  • Maintain ease of accessibility, cleanliness and safety of stock acquisition for both leadership staff and technicians
  • Create, maintain and upload data in a timely manner including but not limited to sign out sheets, purchase order receiving, client receiving, material order logs, ship requests for material transfers and tracking
  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized work environment
  • Adhere to and promote the environmental, health & safety policies of ITC

  • Must be able to operate pallet jack safely.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work in various outdoor environments, including inclement weather.
  • Qualifications :

  • Education : Associate's Degree in Telecommunications, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
  • Experience : At least 3 years of training management or experience with shipping and receiving, stock keeping, and managing inventory
  • Skills & Knowledge : Former training or warehouse management background needed. Strong knowledge of fiber installation, splicing, network infrastructure, and relevant tools. Familiarity with safety standards (OSHA regulations) is optional but beneficial.
  • Work Environment :

  • Exposure to various weather conditions, including rain, heat, and cold.
  • Work near moving mechanical parts, in confined spaces, and elevated locations.
  • Additional Requirements :

  • Valid driver's license and appropriate work boots.
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug / alcohol screening.
