The Trade Desk is changing the way global brands and their agencies advertise to audiences around the world. How? With a media buying platform that helps brands deliver a more insightful and relevant ad experience for consumers –– and sets a new standard for global reach, accuracy, and transparency. We are proud of the culture we have built. We value the unique experiences and perspectives that each person brings to The Trade Desk, and we are committed to fostering inclusive spaces where everyone can bring their authentic selves to work every day.
So, if you are talented, driven, creative, and eager to join a dynamic, globally-connected team, then we want to talk!
What we do :
The Trade Desk is a dynamic technology company with a legal team that is rapidly growing. We are looking for an experienced commercial procurement attorney who has excellent judgment, loves to negotiate deals, analyze complex legal issues, and find creative solutions. We seek candidates who enjoy working independently, are highly resourceful, have exceptional communications skills, and balance competing demands in a positive and client-friendly manner. We want collaborators who will help structure deals with business counterparts, and hopefully contribute some humor to our legal slack channel. The Trade Desk is a great place to work if you value a team environment with frequent learning opportunities through cross-functional collaboration and are seeking to develop your career by tackling complex legal challenges on a global scale.
What you'll do :
- Structure, draft and negotiate a wide variety of inbound technology, vendor and purchasing contracts, including professional service agreements, SaaS and on-prem software agreements, data center agreements, IT and equipment purchasing agreements, data protection addendums, programmatic advertising agreements, and temporary staffing and recruiting agreements.
- Identify, research, analyze, and work with cross-functional teams to address potential risks related to data privacy, AI / ML, intellectual property, software licensing, information security, and labor and employment laws.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to help streamline, automate, and scale The Trade Desk's global procurement processes.
- Continually improve our templates, playbooks, and legal processes to help us scale globally with a consistent but locally relevant approach.
- Provide practical advice on legal issues and risks, complex agreement structures, and company policies in a risk-tolerant, but compliance-oriented environment.
- Exercise strong judgement to advise The Trade Desk team and contribute to the overall success of the business.
Who you are :
The Trade Desk does not accept unsolicited resumes from search firm recruiters. Fees will not be paid in the event a candidate submitted by a recruiter without an agreement in place is hired; such resumes will be deemed the sole property of The Trade Desk. The Trade Desk is an equal opportunity employer. All aspects of employment will be based on merit, competence, performance, and business needs. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, marital status, age, national origin, ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, pregnancy, genetic information, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran status, or any other status protected under federal, state, or local law.
