Job descriptionResponsible for self-generating new business through active prospecting and community involvement. Will promptly respond to referrals from banking and investment partners. Provide each client / prospect with a complete review of their risks and coverage desired. Present proposals / follows up with prospects. Duties include quoting, writing and issuing new personal lines insurance policies. Completes all applications for placement of coverage with insurers. Manages renewal policies following company procedures. Attends meetings with insurance, banking and investment partners, as required. Responsible for front-line underwriting for insurance carriers. Responsible for production goals as assigned. Will perform special projects as assigned. Associates degree or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years of insurance experience preferred. Candidate must be a licensed P&C insurance agent. Currently has or is pursuing insurance designations (CISR,CIC, etc) preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Sales and service experience required. Must be able to multi task and manage time effectively. Proficient knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office products. Travel required to attend agency and client meetings and trainings Associates degree or equivalent experience . Candidate must be a licensed P&C agent. Sales and service experience required. Job Purpose :
The primary purpose of this position requires an individual to be self-sufficient in quoting, writing and issuing new personal lines insurance policies. This position requires a sales oriented person with the ability to provide superior customer service, self-generate new business, and provide prompt service and response to referrals from our partners at Peoples Bank. Compensation for this position is a combination of a base salary plus commissions earned on new business written.
