Contentful is a customer-centric platform company that's passionate and opinionated about content management and delivery within digital teams and leveraging the value of content throughout the digital organization. To help us nurture our design practice, we're seeking an experienced Staff Product Designer.

You will drive UX for a team that builds Contentful’s new product, Studio. Studio empowers digital team customers to visually and dynamically assemble visual experiences at scale. You will shape the future of this product in collaboration with cross functional partners and other Studio designers. This is a hybrid in person and remote role, and this person will collaborate with a team in downtown Denver at least once per week.

What to expect?

Alongside product and engineering managers, you’ll support your product line during discovery, solutioning, delivery, and iteration. You’ll work collaboratively with a Sr. Design Manager in the US and with design partners in Berlin. • Translate strategy into a structured design process, and assist in requirements definition
• Lead design projects on your team by crafting and delivering best in class UX, UI and interaction design documentation
• Partner with product managers, and engineer leads in identifying and defining the most impactful problems to solve based on user centered research and ananlysis
• Partner with Contentful’s design system designers to mature Studio’s use of Contentful’s open source design system
• Take a proactive role in ensuring quality of output
• Build iteratively and experiment to grow a new product
• Conduct primary research including in depth interviews and usability testing, in order to deeply understand customer needs and challenges
• Take the user’s perspective and explore solutions from multiple directions
• Hands-on create design archetypes, e.g. customer journeys, system maps, user flows, prototypes, UX copy, etc.
• Facilitate team discovery workshops and align the team on the context of the opportunities to be ceased
• Participate in critques, and provide peer mentorship to other designers in the organization to continuously raise our quality bar

Colorado Salary Statement : The salary range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in the state of Colorado if selected for the role. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data / ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD / technology), for example.

Colorado Salary Range : $192,000 - $215,000

This position is eligible for equity awards in accordance with the terms of Contentful’s equity plans.]
