MazeArlington, TX, US- Full-time
Summary of the Role :
As Product Manager at Maze, you'll be the strategic owner of our AI-powered vulnerability management platform, driving product decisions that directly impact ARR growth and customer success. This is a unique opportunity to join as one of the early team members of a well-funded startup building breakthrough applications of LLMs and AI agents to transform how security teams investigate, triage, and remediate vulnerabilities.
You'll take full ownership of product strategy and execution, working in close collaboration with engineering teams to build features that solve real security challenges. Your success will be measured by ARR growth and POC conversion rates, not feature delivery timelines. This role is perfect for a technical PM with deep security domain expertise who thinks like a CEO of their product area, moves fast in ambiguous environments, and wants to build something extraordinary from the ground up.
Your Contributions to Our Journey :
Own Product Strategy and Vision : Define and drive the product roadmap for our agentic vulnerability management platform, focusing on use cases that directly impact customer workflows and drive ARR growth
Enable Engineering Excellence : Work collaboratively with engineering teams by giving them freedom to research and iterate, using them as partners in discovery rather than just implementers of your requirements
Drive Zero-to-One Product Development : Take new product capabilities from concept to launch, building features and verticals from scratch while establishing product-market fit through customer validation
Act as Product Marketer : Own messaging and positioning for your product area, write technical content that showcases our unique capabilities, and support sales teams with training and enablement materials
Champion Customer-Centric Development : Spend significant time with customers conducting research, validating hypotheses, and translating security workflows into product requirements that solve real pain points
Make Commercial Product Decisions : Balance technical possibilities with commercial reality, having the courage to say no to features you like if they don't drive measurable customer value or revenue impact
Communicate Technical Depth : Articulate complex technical concepts to both engineering teams and customers, bridging the gap between AI agent capabilities and security engineering workflows
What You Need to Be Successful :
Security Domain Expertise : Deep understanding of security workflows and challenges, with direct experience in vulnerability management, risk assessment, EDR / NDR, cloud security, or related technical security domainsthis is essential, not optional
Proven PM Experience : 4-7 years in product management with track record of shipping products that customers love and that drive measurable business outcomes
Technical Depth : Ability to get very technical when needed, understanding concepts like CI / CD pipelines, software testing, development workflows, and cloud infrastructure to effectively collaborate with engineering teams
Zero-to-One Builder : Direct experience taking new products or significant features from concept to launch, with comfort building in ambiguous environments where the path isn't clear
Commercial Mindset : Track record of making product decisions based on revenue impact and customer value, with ability to set success metrics for POCs and measure outcomes objectively
Collaborative Leadership : Experience working with engineering teams in a partnership model, giving autonomy while maintaining clear priorities and strategic direction
Startup Velocity : Ability to move quickly between detailed execution and strategic thinking, planning near-term work meticulously while maintaining long-term vision
Customer Obsession : Genuine passion for understanding security challenges and spending time with customers to deeply understand their workflows and pain points
Nice to Haves :
Experience at technical security product companies (especially vulnerability management, risk platforms, or detection tools)
Background as a backend or infrastructure engineer who transitioned to product management
Track record of product marketing or technical content creation
Experience with AI / ML products or agent-based systems
ServiceNow, CMDB, or operational security tool experience
