Production support Jobs in Thornton, CO

PrideStaff is actively searching for a Production Mechanic for our equipment supplier client located in Broomfield, CO. The Production Mechanic is responsible for the repair and upkeep of heavy equipment. This is a temp to hire opportunity, based on employee performance and client needs.

Production Mechanic Job Responsibilities :

Inspection and project planning

Tear down and repair of existing mechanical systems

Repair of machine components

Replacement of machine components

Modification of existing systems, components, or structures

Installation of new or rebuilt components

Rebuild components or assemblies

Troubleshoot and problem solve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fluid dispensing, pneumatic, diesel engine, and general industrial environment applications, systems, and circuits

Maintain inventory

Utilize prints, drawings, schematics, manuals, etc.

Over Head Crane operation

Identify and escalate safety issues.

Understand the innerworkings of equipment systems, circuits, and components

Understand the function of the equipment

Inbound / outbound equipment inspections

Picking & packing parts orders

Maintain "Safety First" attitude toward self, others, and equipment. Must adhere to all GMP-( G ood M anufacturing P ractices) and LOTO ( L ock Out T ag O ut) procedures and chemical safety.

Production Mechanic Job Requirements :

Experience with hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, mechanical or troubleshooting, diesel engines

Ability to interpret schematics

Ability to work in a repair shop environment

Ability to work effectively in a pressure, time-sensitive environment

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Physical ability to climb on and under machines

Experience with heavy equipment repair

Experience with hand and power tools

Understanding of general repair facility safety practices and LOTO procedures

Good communication skills

Valid drivers license

Willing to submit to a background check and drug screen
