THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Culinary Team Leader, you will master the techniques of preparing our delicious food, grilling meats, and sautéing vegetables. You will ensure the highest quality standards and be responsible for food ordering and training future leaders in the kitchen.

This role is crucial for maintaining the quality and safety of Chipotle's food every day. You'll ensure the kitchen is organized, clean, and well-stocked, along with proper maintenance of all equipment. As a Culinary Team Leader, you will model teamwork and foster a positive customer experience, actively taking on tasks and supporting your fellow team members.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Prepare and cook food to ensure quality and adherence to kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory, addressing any quality issues that arise.
• Promote a collaborative environment between kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Mentor Crew members to develop their skills and prepare them for future leadership roles.
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers to enhance service and efficiency.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen.
• Oversee the upkeep of kitchen equipment, ensuring prompt repairs when needed.
• Adhere to safety standards, preventing injuries and accidents within the kitchen.
• Complete necessary documentation such as Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Inventory Rotation (FIFO).

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE

• A genuine understanding of and ability to articulate Chipotle's Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Proficiency in the primary languages used in the workplace.
• A high school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a restaurant setting.
