Safety Claims Administrator

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Safety Claims Administrator to support our Human Resources team with the processing and tracking of workplace incidents, workers’ compensation claims, and safety-related training. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely reporting, effective communication, and consistent follow-through for all safety claims and compliance needs.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators regarding claims and incident reporting.

Also acts as a liaison between injured workers, supervisors, HR, and legal teams.

Process, track, and update workers’ compensation, liability, and property damage claims.

Review incident reports for accuracy and completeness; follow up with managers as needed.

Maintain claim files, safety documentation, OSHA logs, and other required records.

Support employees’ return-to-work plans, including communicating any restrictions and coordinating modified duty.

Coordinates and conducts safety training programs.

Analyze data to identify hazards and develop programs to prevent future incidents and mitigate risk.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company reporting requirements.

Provide other administrative support to Human Resources team.

Qualifications

2-3 years of experience in workers’ compensation, claims administration, safety, HR, or related field preferred.

High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Strong understanding of incident reporting, claim handling, and regulatory guidelines (OSHA, state WC laws).

Ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient with Microsoft Office and experience with claims or ADP HRIS is a plus.
