Position Summary

The Center for Educational Excellence & Innovation (CEEI) is dedicated to advancing educational excellence, innovation, scholarship, and professional growth across Boston Children's Hospital. Within CEEI, the Professional Development in Education (PDE) team supports health professions educators through faculty development programs, educational communities of practice, scholarship initiatives, and interprofessional learning opportunities.
CEEI is seeking a Program Coordinator I to support day-to-day operations, with a focus on the Professional Development in Education (PDE) portfolio. Working closely with the Program Manager and PDE leadership, this individual will coordinate educational programs and activities, support faculty and learner engagement, manage calendars and meeting logistics, maintain program records, and assist with communications and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

PDE Program Coordination

  • Coordinate day-to-day operations across the Professional Development in Education (PDE) portfolio.
  • Support the planning, implementation, and administration of PDE educational programs and initiatives.
  • Maintain shared planning resources, educational materials, and program documentation to support operational efficiency and accreditation requirements.
  • Track program activities, timelines, and follow-up items to support successful program execution.

Educational Events and Logistics

  • Assist in planning and coordinating high-quality in-person and virtual educational programs, workshops, retreats, communities of practice, and outreach activities sponsored by PDE.
  • Manage scheduling, logistics, registrations, participant communications, and materials preparation for educational offerings.
  • Coordinate communications and logistical needs for planning committees, faculty facilitators, guest speakers, and participants.
  • Attend and support planning meetings with key stakeholders and educators, including providing event support as needed.

Communications and Reporting

  • Draft and distribute communications, promotional materials, and program updates related to PDE educational offerings.
  • Support evaluation and feedback collection following educational programs and events.
  • Maintain accurate program records and assist with reporting activities to support program assessment and continuous improvement.

Faculty and Stakeholder Support

  • Collaborate with educational leaders, faculty, trainees, and staff to support PDE initiatives and program objectives.
  • Serve as a point of contact for PDE participants, faculty, and collaborators.
  • Support educational grants, award programs, membership engagement, recruitment efforts, and certificate or credentialing initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Manage calendars, scheduling, and meeting logistics for select CEEI faculty and leadership members.
  • Provide administrative and project support for broader CEEI initiatives and special projects, as needed.
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvement and operational efficiency efforts

Qualifications

Education

  • Associate's degree required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience

  • One to three years of relevant experience in program coordination, education administration, project support, event planning, or administrative operations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and standard office technologies.
  • Experience supporting virtual meetings and educational events preferred.
  • Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, AI-enabled productivity tools.

The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive benefits package that includes flexible schedules, affordable health, vision and dental insurance, child care and student loan subsidies, generous levels of time off, 403(b) Retirement Savings plan, Pension, Tuition and certain License and Certification Reimbursement, cell phone plan discounts and discounted rates on T-passes.
