SummarySUMMARY : The Program Coordinator for the Simulation Program is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of an established hospital-based Simulation Program. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, interprofessional education programs, coordinates with stakeholders, and manages Simulation Staff.DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS : Lead the coordination of simulation-based education programs, focusing on quality-driven, interprofessional learning experiences across a Simulation Center, offsite, and in-situ-based Simulation Programming.Supervise, schedule, train, coach and provide ongoing performance feedback to the Simulation Operations Specialist, Standardized Patient Actors, HealthPATH Interns, and additional Simulation Staff to ensure the day-to-day operations of the Simulation Program.Work closely with a wide range of Departments served including but not limited to the Nursing Professional Development Department, HealthPATH Pipeline Department, Graduate Medical Education, Service-Based Departments, and Quality Departments to integrate simulation activities into broader educational / development / quality initiatives throughout the organization and community.Review, update, and manage simulation-based guidelines, policies, and procedures related to the simulation program, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.Collaborate with clinical staff, educators, faculty, and simulation staff to design, develop, and implement simulation curricula that meet the educational and quality improvement needs of the organization.Train and mentor faculty and staff in simulation techniques, theories, and best practices, ensuring high-quality facilitation and debriefing of simulation-based events.Oversee the acquisition, maintenance, and scheduling of simulation equipment and supplies, ensuring they meet the needs of the program.Monitor and analyze data on the effectiveness of simulation activities, making data-driven decisions to improve program outcomes. Co-chair the Simulation Education and Operations Committee and report to governing structures.Assist in managing the budget for the simulation program, ensuring resources are used efficiently and effectively.Perform other duties as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.Required Education : Bachelor’s degree in health, education, or related field.Preferred Education : Master’s degree in a health-related field.Required Experience : Minimum of four years in a simulation program, clinical education department, or similar setting.Preferred Experience : Experience with program coordination and staff management.Required Licenses / Certifications : CHSOS (or equivalent) – Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (SSH); Valid Driver’s License.#J-18808-Ljbffr
