Job Details

As a Permanent Project Accountant, you will be responsible for :

1. Overseeing all financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, financial reporting, job costing, and project cost.

2. Preparing accurate and timely financial reports and statements, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

3. Monitoring and analyzing project costs, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions.

4. Collaborating with project managers and other team members to develop budgets and cost estimates, and to ensure that projects are completed within budget.

5. Reviewing and approving invoices, ensuring that all costs are accurately recorded and allocated.

6. Evaluating financial performance and profitability of projects, providing recommendations for improvement.

7. Assisting in the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets, and in the development of financial strategies and plans.

8. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards, and with company policies and procedures.

9. Participating in financial audits, and in the preparation of audit reports and responses.

Qualifications :

Our ideal candidate will have :

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Accountant, preferably in the construction industry.

3. Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, job costing, and project cost.

4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.

5. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel, and in accounting software.

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and to communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.

7. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

8. A professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CGA, or CA) is preferred.
