Job description

Lead Project Analyst

The Lead Project Analyst supports strategic sourcing and supply chain teams through advanced inventory and material data analysis, with a strong emphasis on working independently in large, complex datasets. This role focuses primarily on supplier held and consigned inventory and plays a key part in assessing inventory health, identifying excess or no demand material, validating classifications, and supporting disposition decisions in compliance with company policy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze material and inventory data to assess inventory positions, trends, and classifications
  • Independently extract, clean, and analyze large, complex spreadsheets and datasets to identify risks, opportunities, and anomalies
  • Support consigned inventory disposition decisions (scrap, redeploy, alternative use) through data driven analysis
  • Identify root causes of excess or no demand inventory, including supplier overbuy, demand variability, and planning mismatches
  • Prepare inventory status reports, dashboards, and clear analytical summaries for leadership audiences
  • Ensure inventory disposition activities comply with company policies and procedures
  • Review current inventory and data processes and recommend efficiency or accuracy improvements
  • May lead or guide other team members on inventory analysis or improvement initiatives

Must Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field)
  • Experience in inventory management, supply chain, procurement, or a related analytical role
  • Experience supporting inventory disposition and ensuring policy compliance
  • Strong analytical background with the ability to independently navigate and interpret large datasets
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, data validation, working with large data sets)
  • Ability to work independently using sound judgment in environments with incomplete or evolving data

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with consigned or supplier managed inventory
  • Background supporting EMS or outsourced manufacturing suppliers
  • Experience analyzing high value, excess, or no demand inventory
  • Prior project lead or informal people lead responsibilities
  • Process or continuous improvement experience
  • Experience synthesizing data from multiple sources and presenting insights to non technical stakeholders
