Position Summary

This role is remote in the United States. If you are near one of our offices, this role could be hybrid.

Do you want to work for a dynamic team that delivers quality and helpful products to our consumers? As a member of the Aetna Pharmacy Health Plan Team, you play a critical role in the cross-functional execution and delivery of enterprise innovations and product solutions for our Aetna commercial and exchange lines of business. Collaboration across businesses is critical, as you’ll work with Aetna, Caremark, and other CVS Health teams. If you’re comfortable thinking big picture and rolling up the sleeves to develop a business case, this might be the right role for you!

As a Formulary Publications Senior Analyst, you are responsible for the development, management, implementation and maintenance of member, provider and plan sponsor formulary publications including drug guides and drug search tools for fully / self-insured commercial and exchange lines of business. Collaborating with our PBM and vendor partners to ensure we’re delivering accurate and meaningful formulary guides for our members and prospects. Works collaborative with compliance and legal to manage and respond to state filing objections in a timely and efficient manner.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Development, publication and management of our commercial formulary guide documents and drug search tool in collaboration with Medical Affairs and Data Engineering, leveraging vendor software.
  • Manage quality assurance review of formulary guides / drug search.
  • Maintain databases and on-going management and maintenance for Aetna’s Formularies.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to respond to account management, plan sponsor, member, state regulator, sales, trade, medical affairs, operations, product and compliance inquiries in a thoughtful and timely manner.
  • Leverage systems / software / contacts to research inquiries / discrepancies.
  • Develop, manage and maintain policy / process / work instructions documents.
  • Maintains project and performance tracking tools in order to document accuracy and completion metrics.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to service excellence identifying areas of opportunity for process improvement across all lines of business including identifying additional support resources / programs / software needs.
  • Assists with projects, on-going program processes, and streamlining work flows.
  • Consults and communicates with internal departments regarding new business and revision activity in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success leading in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to learn on the fly while understanding and solving new problems. Given the nature of the work and environment, your communication and influencing skills are essential.

Required Qualifications

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented with strong capability in structured and critical thinking
  • High level of independent judgment and being pro-active
  • Self-motivation, high energy, and ability to successfully function in a high-demand, performance-driven environment.
  • Strong internal relationship skills across diverse teams

  • Demonstrate project management experience. Project, program, and process management experience required.
  • Data interpretation and analysis experience.

  • Preferred Qualifications

    Desired experience / knowledge : familiar with medications / drug classes - background in pharmacy, ex. Pharmacy Tech / worked for supplier or distributor.

    Education

    The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree, Pharmacy Technician Certification, Nursing licensure or equivalent health care experience.

    Pay Range

    The typical pay range for this role is :

    43,700.00 - $107,200.00

    This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
