Overview
Must be located in PA, NJ, DE, MD or VA with the availability to travel to our headquarters location in Lancaster, PA.
Responsible for supporting risk and compliance programs within first line Bank Operations. Accountable for the documentation of risks and controls, including changes made through process automation, system implementations, mergers and acquisitions, and other projects and initiatives. Incumbents in this position will support the bank's risk management, issue management and complaint management programs by providing risk identification, issue validation, and management reporting. Provide research and recommendations to improve operational processes and controls.
Responsibilities
- Responsible as workstream lead for documenting all risks and controls for cross-functional projects and initiatives in partnership with the control and process owners. Document process-level risks and controls, including current-state processes and future-state process changes necessary to achieve efficient, repeatable, and compliant processes. Identify and describe inherent risks in the bank’s operational processes, including consulting internal and external resources to identify current and emerging operational, legal and compliance risks. Complete risk and control self-assessments (RCSA) as needed.
- Provide support to the lines of business, as appropriate, to identify issue root cause and, in partnership with the control and process owners, recommend holistic corrective action to address the root cause. Perform validation testing of completed action plans to determine appropriateness and sustainability of the corrective action. Write and execute test scripts, identify root causes, document results, make recommendations based on results, and communicate results to management. Investigate customer complaints flagged as a potential compliance risk to determine whether the bank took the appropriate action and make recommendations based on those findings.
- Prepare and deliver periodic, high-quality reports, analysis, and analytics related to risk management activities. Assist in the definition, development, and implementation of appropriate risk management metrics and measures, including key risk indicators, key performance indicators and key control indicators, as well as thresholds for measurement, escalation, and reporting.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of the risk management strategy and vision. Keep informed of new and amended legal, regulatory, operational, and market practices and communicate pertinent information including the best approach for implementing changes as appropriate for Bank Operations and the Company. Complete additional risk management assignments as directed.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty : Accounting, business administration, finance, or equivalent. (Required)
Experience
6 or more years financial services risk management, compliance, regulatory or audit work experience. (Required)
Certifications
CRCM, CERP, CAMS, or similar license or certification. (Preferred)

We set standard salary ranges for our roles based on the position, function, and responsibilities, as benchmarked against similarly sized companies in our industry. Specific compensation offered will be determined based on a combination of factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses / credentials. The salary range may vary based on geographic location.
The salary range for this position is $67,100.00 - $111,800.00 annually.
Additional Compensation Components
This job is eligible to participate in a short-term incentive compensation plan subject to individual and company performance.
