In this role you'll will be responsible for theapplication of ASC 606 revenue guidance to customer contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition. You'll design and maintain operational procedures and controls that meet audit standards and improve efficiency. You'll participate in annual audits and special projects, and you may work with external consultants or auditors to provide required information and ensure proper accounting compliance.
Job Duties & Responsibilities :
Review multi-element sales contracts and recommend proper accounting treatment under ASC 606
Maintain global contract database and facilitate contract reviews by Deal Desk team and plan resource allocations with RevOps team.
Prepare financial statement disclosures for inclusion in quarterly SEC filings
Assist in analysis and preparation of annual SSP calculations for use in revenue recognition models
Perform SOX and internal audit control procedures to ensure completeness and accuracy of revenue recognition practices
Monitor technical developments (SEC reporting requirements, FASB pronouncements, EITFs) and interpret requirements as they pertain to revenue recognition for the company; develop and implement plan to meet requirements.
Asses in internal and external audit requests
Build effective working relations with other appropriate departments and operations, including Sales, Legal and Client Delivery
Special projects related to revenue recognition
Manage staff of 3 revenue specialists, focusing on career development
Required Skills & Qualifications :
10+ years of experience in revenue accounting
5+ years managing accounting personnel
Strong communications skills and ability to work across multiple functions with the organization
Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize multiple time-sensitive deliverables
Travel : 1-10%
Physical Demands : This is a typical office job, with no special physical requirements or unusual work environment.
Liberty Lake, WA : The base salary for this position is $96,000 - $184,000. This position is also eligible for our annual bonus program.
