Position Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Estimator / Project Manager to join our growing team. This role requires a professional with a strong background in commercial construction plumbing estimating and a comprehensive understanding of industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for large commercial, public works, and pipeline projects.
• Review and analyze blueprints, specifications, building plans, and other documentation to develop thorough bid proposals.
• Work closely with upper management, contractors, engineers, and clients to address and resolve potential issues during the pre-construction phase.
• Stay updated on market conditions, construction trends, and supply chain changes.
• Ensure project estimates align with Title 24, OSHPD, and HCAI requirements.
• Participate in bid analysis and assist with contract negotiations.
• Manage the entire bidding process, including opportunity identification, pricing, responding to addendums, and follow-ups.
• Schedule site walks with relevant stakeholders.
• Offer recommendations for cost-saving strategies and value engineering opportunities.
• Maintain a detailed database of past projects and bids for reference.

Candidate Requirements :

A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction.

Proficiency with bidding platforms such as PlanetBids, Building Connected, PlanHub, and others.

Strong experience in estimating for large commercial projects.

Knowledge of Title 24, OSHPD, and HCAI regulations is essential.

Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

Strong skills in reading and interpreting architectural and mechanical plans.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision.
