Overview
Project Leader 1 (Telecommunications)
is a leadership position responsible for supporting the overall strategy, execution of deliverables, project completion, and profitable outcomes for complex projects or multiple projects simultaneously. This position requires proficient understanding of Telecommunication Systems including Fiber Optic & Structured Cabling, CCTV, OSP & ISP Copper, along with DAS.
Project Leader 1 (Telecommunications)
is expected to provide development, training, and leadership to Junior Project Leadership, Field Superintendents, and Trades personnel related to strategic planning, implementation, and project ownership.

The candidate must have hands-on experience and knowledge in leading project teams, specialty contracting industries, solution-driven initiatives, and project execution. Responsibilities will include supporting complex scopes specific to Transit Systems, Healthcare, Government, Federal Aviation (Preferred), and Mission Critical industries.
Responsibilities
Experience with phases in the project lifecycle : Planning, Design, Engineering, Solutioning, Installation, and Close-Out.
RCDD Certification is required.
Understanding of project planning, installation, and completion to ensure success.
Development of design / build estimates, project schedules, financials, and cost tracking.
Knowledge of contract language and negotiation experience.
Ability to develop and maintain industry client relationships.
Understanding of risk mitigation strategies in construction management.
Experience in commissioning and testing diverse specialty systems.
Management of telecommunications projects with budgets from $500K to $10M+.
Experience with multi-discipline project teams including Fire Alarm, Communications, Security, AV, Power, and Instrumentation.
Ability to write detailed RFPs and scopes of work.
Position Responsibilities
Leading design and deployment of Information Transport and telecommunications systems.
Ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Managing subcontractors and developing resource-loaded project schedules.
Forecasting cash flow and manpower needs.
Developing budgets, cost estimates, and project proposals.
Coordinating with clients and project teams to resolve issues.
Managing project profitability and ensuring timely completion.
Training and administrative contract requirements.
Cost-saving and quality improvement initiatives.
Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain security clearance if required.
Qualifications
Minimum 7+ years in telecommunications and security systems construction with a Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields.
5+ years of related construction experience with a Master’s Degree preferred.
Proficiency in CPM Scheduling, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Accubid, Primavera P6, MS Office, and Excel.
RCDD Certification required.
Experience managing projects valued from $500K to over $10M.
Knowledge in federal markets, including aviation and government projects.
Ability to obtain security clearance if needed.
Physical Abilities
Computer use, sitting, reaching, finger dexterity, listening, speaking, reading, and problem-solving abilities.
