Position Overview
As a Proofreader, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the quality and consistency of FOTOCOLE's written materials. You'll review and edit a variety of content, including blog posts, social media captions, email campaigns, and marketing materials. This remote role is perfect for someone who has a keen eye for detail, a strong command of language, and a passion for precision.
Key Responsibilities
1. Review and proofread written content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting errors.
2. Ensure all content aligns with FOTOCOLE's brand voice, style guidelines, and tone.
3. Edit blog posts, articles, and case studies to improve clarity, readability, and flow.
4. Proofread social media captions, posts, and ads to ensure accuracy and engagement.
5. Review email campaigns, newsletters, and client communications for consistency and professionalism.
6. Collaborate with writers, designers, and marketers to ensure content meets quality standards.
7. Verify factual accuracy of content, including dates, names, and product details.
8. Provide constructive feedback to writers to improve overall content quality.
9. Maintain a library of style guides, glossaries, and templates for consistent content creation.
10. Meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in proofreading, editing, or a related role.
- Exceptional command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and proofreading tools (e.g., Grammarly).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors quickly.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
