PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Leave Administrator is r esponsible for responsible for administering all aspects of employee leave requests and accommodations, including those under the Family and Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Paid Family Leave, state and local leave laws, Military Leave, short-term and long-term disability plans, and Worker's Comp. This role involves coordinating with employees, managers, and external vendors to administer leaves, ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Manage all aspects of employee leave requests, workers' compensation, ADA, short-term and long-term disability, and / or other similar leave of absence.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave regulations, including FMLA, ADA, Workers Comp and state-specific leave laws.
- Responsible for ensuring proper management of all administrative aspects of leave claims to include tracking hours used / taken; return to work data; case reviews and working closely with the Managers, HR, Benefits, and Payroll to ensure key dates, details, and status for employees is accurate and correct.
- Coordinates the return-to-work process.
- Oversee processing of short-term and long-term disability claims and workers' compensation.
- Act as primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding leave, ADA, and workers' compensation policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with managers, employees, and the Safety Team to ensure workplace injuries are properly documented.
- Ensure that all required OSHA recordkeeping, postings, and reporting activities are completed.
- Assist in the development and implementation of leave policies and procedures.
- Provides general knowledge and training for employees and management regarding, FMLA, PFL, ADA, WC, STD, and LTD
- Serves as a back-up to other Benefit team members on an as needed basis for daily inquiries and tasks.
