The Senior Property Accountant will play a key role in monthly partner reviews, account reconciliations, and ensuring adherence to accounting policies and procedures.

This individual will also assist in the preparation of financial reporting and provide support in technical accounting matters.

What You'll Do : Work on general ledger monthly close process, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled, meeting monthly deadlines.

Create, review, and support the preparation of journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

Manage the preparation of rent roll reports for partner review, ensuring the accurate reflection of income and contractual terms.

Provide monthly analysis of month-over-month and quarter-over-quarter variances, identifying trends, discrepancies, and providing recommendations for corrective actions.

Assist in identify, develop, and implement process and system improvements with a focus on reducing the days to close, enhancing team efficiency, and ensuring scalability for future growth.

Review and interpret contractual agreements to ensure accurate accounting treatment of terms, schedules, and other relevant conditions.

Strengthen internal controls surrounding the monthly close process, ensuring compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

What You Need : Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent required, Master’s degree is a plus.

4+ years of relative accounting experience Superior working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.

Experience with ERP systems (Netsuite, experience highly valued).

Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills Self-starter with a “can do” attitude and ability to multi-task while performing a variety of complex tasks.
