• Position Overview

The Proposal Strategist is responsible for leading the proposal development process from strategy to submission, including planning, managing, and executing Requests for Proposal (RFP) responses. This role collaborates closely with business development and project management teams to create compelling value propositions that strengthen the company's competitive positioning.

• Key Responsibilities
• Proposal Development
• Create and manage the proposal plan, including drafting storyboards, defining win strategies, and assigning roles within the proposal team.
• Lead the development of the initial proposal management plan and contribute to the overall proposal strategy.
• Review and Adjustments
• Conduct "pink team" reviews and modify marketing materials based on feedback and requests.
• Facilitate the go / no-go decision-making process and lead the official proposal kickoff meeting.
• Collaborate with the design team to create graphics and visuals for the proposal.
• Post-Submittal Activities
• Oversee post-submittal activities, including client interviews in the checkmate phase.
• Support the development of a negotiated contract outline and deliver proposal services as part of the checkmate phase.
• Project Support
• Assist in tracking metrics, including change orders, safety, budget, schedule, diversity goals, and community involvement.
• Help close out project deliverables and support the submission process for industry awards (ACEC, ENR, etc.).
• Networking and Compliance
• Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and professional association events to build and maintain a professional network.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and standards.
• Qualifications
• Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Equivalent experience may be considered in place of a degree requirement.
• Experience
• Minimum of 4 years in marketing, business development, or sales within a professional services firm.
• Experience within an A / E firm is preferred.
• Skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign is strongly preferred.
• Certifications
• Certified Proposal Management Professional (APMP) or equivalent certification is preferred.

Job Types : Full-time, Contract

Pay : $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
