Restore product to like-new conditions using proven techniques, including refinishing, re-upholstery, painting, etc. Repair damaged stock, wood, fabric, leather, and metal furniture using approved methods. Understand and follow all safe work practices and rules, including WHMIS. Answer guests' questions during in-home repairs. Document and complete service reports and paperwork, including inventory control information. Completion of electronic paperwork within our software platform Communicate any issues (mechanical or otherwise) on the service vehicles. Attend training on furniture repair topics. Inspect and validate the repair parts. Understand, follow, and ensure compliance with all safe work practices and rules. Assure compliance with all Company policies and procedures. Demonstrate the company's values in all aspects of their work performance. Participate in our National Certification program. High School diploma with two years of practical work experience in furniture repair, including upholstery, leather repairs, and wood refinishing. Combination of education and experience will be considered. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present clean, organized, and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Driver's License Required. A satisfactory Criminal Record Check is required. Some exposure to solvents. Able to lift at least 50 - 100 pounds. Able to conduct physical work in warm and cold conditions Operates various equipment and tools Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to Must be able to hear and understand speech to interact with others. Must be able to speak so that others will be able to understand. Must be able to perform repetitive tasks with both hands to include keyboarding, Will remain on one's feet in an upright position and move about on foot. Will bend, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch and reach at or above Will lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds and more with assistance. Will work predominately in a warehouse environment; occasional work at Understand and maintain all safe work practices and rules. Other duties as assigned, essential or otherwise.
