GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR AN ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER INTERESTED IN NEUROSURGERY ProMedica Physicians Neurosurgery is recruiting a motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join an established neurosurgery practice in Toledo, Ohio. The practice has served the Toledo area for many years and has an excellent reputation for providing high-quality, compassionate care. Job Description : Obtains complete histories and performs physical exams, formulation of care plans, ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic tests and provides education to patients and their familiesAssists with neurosurgical consults and admissions, and with provider rounding, to include : writing notes, orders, wound care, etc.Effectively communicates and interacts with patients, families, staff and members of the community from diverse backgroundsFacilitates the coordination of inpatient and outpatient care and servicesWorks in a collaborative team approach, with other health professionals to determine health needs of patients and familiesEnsures compliance with HIPAA rules and regulations and adheres to the institutional and departmental policies and proceduresHighlights : Hospital inpatient onlyFast paced3 12 hour shifts1 in 3 weekends 6 APPs + 5 neurosurgeons at TThRounding with the physicians & patient post-op education Working with other lines of careConsults in the ER Inpatient rounding at Toledo HospitalEpic EMRCompetitive compensation and excellent benefits to include : medical, dental, vision, life insurance, long and short-term disability, 401(k), retirement options and malpractice insuranceCME and VacationJOB REQUIREMENTSNurse PractitionerMasters of nursing (MSN) degree with an Acute Care focus.
