SCHEDULE: Part-time up to 29 hours per week (Monday-Saturday)

This position is responsible for:

Receives, sorts, prices and prepares donated items for display in the store; determines suitability and pricing of items based on established standards; assists in maintaining the orderliness and cleanliness of the warehouse area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort and inspect donated clothing, shoes, and household goods by category and condition.
• Price, tag, and prepare suitable items for store display.
• Handle unsellable items by discarding or baling them according to guidelines.
• Move and organize items in storage or display areas.
• Maintain a clean and safe sorting area at all times.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to communicate the English language.
• Physical ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull moderately heavy objects (25-50 lbs.).
• Moderate mobility: duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis. Distance of travel is usually within the same building.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

No formal education or experience required.

Six-months experience lifting and hauling heavy items such as appliances and furniture

or

any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
