The Department of Psychology consists of 28 full-time faculty and offers a BA and BS in psychology, an MA in General Experimental Psychology, and the Ph.D. in developmental, clinical, cognitive, and social psychology (See https : / / psy.uncg.edu / for more information).
Position Summary :
The Department of Psychology at UNC-Greensboro invites applications for a tenure-track position in Clinical Psychology (Assistant Professor level), to begin August 1, 2026. The Department of Psychology consists of 28 full-time faculty and offers a BA and BS in psychology, including Disciplinary Honors, an MA in experimental psychology, and a PhD in clinical, cognitive, developmental, and social psychology (See http : / / psy.uncg.edu for more information).
Our department is home to the UNCG Psychology Clinic ( https : / / psy.uncg.edu / clinic / ), our doctoral training clinic that provides mental health services to the broader community, with a focus on providing empirically supported treatments to underserved populations in a culturally competent manner. UNCG’s clinical program emphasizes the integration of science and practice, values both basic and applied research on human behavior across the life span, and encourages collaboration across research areas. The doctoral program in Clinical Psychology is accredited by the American Psychological Association.
UNCG serves a diverse student body, with ethnic minority students representing 45% of undergraduates. We seek to attract a broad pool of qualified applicants for this position. Minimum Qualifications :
- Applicants must hold or anticipate a doctoral degree by August 1, 2026 from an APA-accredited clinical program and be licensed or license-eligible in North Carolina.
