Job description

Counseling and Psychological Services (CaPS) provides a safe, confidential environment for students to talk about personal and academic concerns. We provide consultation services for faculty, staff, and family members who are concerned about a student or have questions.

Carnegie Mellon University’s CaPS team is searching for a Psychology Intern. This is a dynamic opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by providing essential support by providing clinical services integral to the internship.

Your core responsibilities will include :

Track programs and supporting data for reports and evaluation

Supports the needs of the department as needed

Uses a variety of resources to complete assigned projects

Individual psychotherapy, group therapy, clinical and inter-professional consultation, crisis intervention, and outreach programming

Maintain clinical records and vital statistics of services

Attend and participate in regular staff meetings, seminars, and professional development training related to providing services

Participate in department, divisional, and university meetings as assigned

Regularly collaborate with assigned clinical supervisors

Meet all training criteria of the internship program

Other duties as assigned

You should demonstrate :

Strong analytical skills

Strong oral and written communication skills

Qualifications :

High School Diploma or GED required

Currently pursuing a PhD or PsyD

Requirements :
