The Division of Counseling and Psychology at Rivier University invites applications for an Assistant professor (Counseling and School Psychology) position. This will be an in-person, full-time, non-tenure track, renewable, 9-month per year appointment in the Division of Counseling and Psychology. The position will include responsibilities in in the graduate programs in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, School Counseling, and School Psychology. Responsibilities
The new faculty member will join the core Counseling and Psychology faculty in the training of graduate students, with the following primary responsibilities :
- Assume teaching, advisement, and mentoring responsibilities for graduate students in counseling and school psychology. Opportunities for face-to-face and online teaching. Mentoring as an experienced clinical professional is highly desired.
- Serve on doctoral research and dissertation committees.
- Provide University-based supervision for students completing practicums and internships.
- Participate in student and program data collection and assessment.
- Participate in ongoing program growth and development, particularly with respect to the integration of social justice throughout all program experiences.
- Participate in recruitment, retention, and enrollment opportunities to attract and retain a diverse group of graduate and doctoral students.
- Maintain professional and licensure requirements commensurate with teaching graduate studies and supervising practicum and internship experiences. Hold a license as a psychologist in the state of New Hampshire.
- Provide service to the programs and the University.
- Develop / maintain an active research agenda that promotes student involvement.
- Join an experienced and talented faculty to model collaboration for student success as counselors and school psychologists.
