Job descriptionValid Michigan teaching certificate. Endorsements rqurired : CX - Social Science or CE - Psychology with additional endorsement in Social Studies. Successful expreince teaching in a secondary environment. Prior experience instructing advanced placement (AP) courses and / or willingness to particpate in AP training outside of the insructional calendar. Familiarity with district / state / national currciulum and ability to work collaboratively with all staff, students and community. Effective problem-solving skills,trust buiding and leadership.

Reports to : Building Administrator
- Facilitate an environment that fosters the learning of all students.
- Remain knowledgeable of educational standards and strategies to meet the academic, developmental and social emotional needs of student.
- Assess and modify instructional practice leading toward increased student achievement.
- Utilize educational technology to support students’ instruction and learning
- Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with students, peers, parents and community.
