A Day in the Life
The Medical Affairs Program Manager will lead the Acute Care & Monitoring (ACM) Operating Unit (OU) Medical Science, Medical Education & Economics Program within the perioperative franchise. Products in this franchise include BIS brain monitoring system, INVOS regional oximetry, Argos Cardiac Output Monitor, among others. The Medical Affairs Program Manager will be a key thought partner for perioperative franchise leadership and the cross-functional perioperative team. This role will create and execute a comprehensive Medical Science and Medical Education & Economics strategy for products within the perioperative franchise that enables commercial success by firmly establishing the clinical and economic value and key advantages of perioperative franchise products. The ideal candidate will possess advanced scientific and clinical knowledge, a collaborative nature, strong education and economic proficiency, and a deep commitment to advancing patient care. Moreover, this individual will be expected to lead cross-functional partnerships across the organization with a strong executive presence, develop a strategy and deliver commercially relevant results. This is a Global position and will report to the Director of Medical Science, Medical Education, & Economics.

Location : Boulder, CO preferred, will consider remote. Ability to travel up to 25%, including international travel.
A Day In the Life - the Medical Affairs Program Manager will :
- Serve as an expert thought partner for perioperative commercial leadership.
- Serve as a strategic leader of the perioperative franchise for Medical Science, Medical Education & Economics to enable commercial growth by establishing clinical and economic value.
- Build strong collaborative relationships and work in close partnership with key stakeholders internally (e.g., Global Marketing, Regulatory, Commercial, Corporate Communications).
- Partner with Corporate Communications on franchise initiatives and ensure message accuracy.
- Generate and disseminate evidence-based scientific messages to drive the franchise strategy.
- Support the dissemination of consistent messages through all established channels (e.g., podium presentations, publications, marketing materials, Sales Training, and Public Relations / Investor Relations).
- Develop plans for scientific congresses / conferences and represent Medical Science, Medical Education & Economics in congress / conference planning meetings to ensure optimization of evidence distribution strategy and delivery of consistent scientific messages.
- Provide ongoing surveillance of the literature (device-specific, and competitive), and congress coverage / recaps (summaries of critical presentations, live cases).
- Disseminate key findings of any major medical science, medical education and economic-related releases to internal and external stakeholders as appropriate through email blasts and literature review calls.
- Develop, track, and report on reach and impact metrics related to output dissemination, strategy development, and execution to Clinical Research and Medical Science senior staff, cross-functional stakeholders, and executive business leadership.
- Maintain subject matter expertise, and robust knowledge and awareness of the competitive and relevant landscapes to provide medical science, medical education and economic input to business stakeholders across the product lifecycle.
- Provide subject-matter expertise to support the review of downstream materials through established processes (e.g., Veeva, etc.).
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with external Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to ensure consistent delivery of impactful, evidence-based scientific messages across distribution channels.
- Represent ACM CRMS at external engagements, such as advisory boards.

Communication and Influence : Communicates and leads meetings with internal and external customers and vendors, conducts briefings to higher level management team. Solves issues through information exchange, influence and active persuasion without direct exercise of command to gain cooperation of other parties on program execution plans.
Leadership and Talent Management : Leads, directs, and reviews the work of a team of professionals and / or vendors who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments. Direct involvement in daily tasks necessary for successful program execution. Not directly responsible for hire or fire decisions and people management.
