About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Vice President of Public Affairs to lead the development of our internal government relations team. In this pivotal role, you will advance our advocacy efforts at state and federal levels, shaping and influencing policy issues that impact our operations. We are looking for a seasoned professional with a minimum of 10 years' experience managing relationships with legislators, executive branch officials, and political stakeholders. You will take the lead in engaging with external lobbying firms, trade associations, and political organizations. Your expertise will be crucial in creating and executing our legislative strategy and messaging.
Key responsibilities include :
- Designing and overseeing public affairs campaigns
- Acting as a strategic liaison between government affairs and key internal teams
- Representing the company before policymakers and external stakeholders
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, the ability to simplify complex issues, and a passion for thriving in a fast-paced, start-up environment. A B.A. / B.S. is required, with a J.D. preferred, and a background in gaming (casino, sports, iGaming) is advantageous. This role demands a professional who excels at interpreting legislation, assessing business impacts, and proactively identifying and addressing strategic issues.
