Research Support Specialist
Reporting to a Department Leader, Group Practice Director, and / or Physician Leader, the individual in this role plays a crucial role in supporting research operations. Contributes significantly to the department's goals and assists in both short-term and long-term planning efforts. This position involves aiding in financial and operational planning, including budgeting and business plan analysis. Additionally, may serve as a representative for the Department, Specialty, or Business Unit in internal and external committees, while also participating in community outreach initiatives that represent Henry Ford Health. This position will focus on daily operations and may involve stepping in to provide coverage for staff when necessary.
Bachelor's Degree in Health Administration, Business, Bioscientific / Clinical / Functional area, or related field. Master's Degree preferred. One (1) year of research or leadership experience. Skilled in organizational attributes. Ability to communicate in writing and orally to support, direct, and work with employees, leadership, physicians, and various external audiences. Computer skills including word processing and spreadsheets knowledge.
Minimum of (5) five years of research experience in Biostatistics or related field. Familiarity with a range of statistical topics (study design, data analysis techniques). Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to interact with various levels of research and clinical staff & leadership.
