Position Description
The Public Health Intelligence Analyst position directly supports public health and medical customers by identifying, creating, and sharing relevant and actionable intelligence and information through assessments, bulletins, briefings, and investigative support. This position acts as the intelligence liaison between the Orange County Intelligence Assessment Center (OCIAC) and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities :
- Serve as the primary point of contact for health-related threat intelligence within the fusion center's area of responsibility (AoR).
- Coordinate the exchange of information regarding crimes, threats, risks, hazards, and terrorism impacting the healthcare sector.
- Act as a liaison with local, state, and federal healthcare agencies, private medical groups, public health entities, EMS providers, and other relevant organizations.
- Collaborate with the OCSD Private Sector Coordinator and fusion center staff to collect, evaluate, analyze, and disseminate health-related intelligence.
- Develop and maintain a network of Healthcare Liaison Officers (HLO) across the AoR.
- Organize and conduct regular meetings and briefings for healthcare stakeholders.
- Respond to incidents as directed by fusion center management, acting as a liaison between first responders and the fusion center.
- Provide timely and relevant intelligence to stakeholders through regular publications.
