The Manager of Community Relations leads the organization's outreach, education, and community engagement efforts. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategies that strengthen community partnerships, enhance brand reputation, and align initiatives with organizational goals. The Manager serves as a primary liaison between the organization and external stakeholders, ensuring consistent, compliant, and effective messaging.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive community relations strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, nonprofits, schools, and local leaders.
  • Represent the organization at community events, public forums, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Lead community outreach programs, sponsorships, and initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational goals and measurable impact.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote community initiatives.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance in all external messaging and engagement activities.
  • Monitor community feedback and sentiment to inform strategy and reduce risk.
  • Establish, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to community engagement.
  • Partner with internal departments to align community initiatives with business priorities.
  • Provide strategic guidance to leadership on community engagement opportunities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience building partnerships and leading community-based programs with measurable outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with senior leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel and work evenings or weekends as required for community events.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic plans aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Experience using data to measure program effectiveness and drive decision-making.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree required in communications, marketing, business, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant professional experience in community relations, healthcare, health insurance, or stakeholder engagement.
