ForeFlight is looking for an organized and motivated public media relations person to join our marketing team and to be part of a dynamic and fast-growing technology company. We’re looking for someone who deeply understands how to engage industry associations and build media relations to align opportunities with our brand goals. They should be detail-oriented, creative, an effective communicator, and have a passion for marketing and industry relations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and expand media relations with domestic and international publications
- Research and identify opportunities for new media and advertising partnerships
- Develop and maintain media and association outreach plan
- Manage and ensure the brand’s voice remains consistent
- Prepare and promote press conferences, announcements, media briefings, and various other industry events
- Develop a plan and implement targeted communications and advertising content for a variety of media platforms
- Develop and maintain all press kits as well as media materials
- Prepare and present detailed and accurate record of all media activities, including archiving media interviews, press clips, and media outreach
- Manage and update all media and association lists
- Perform as key contact for media as well as non-media inquiries
- Track media mentions and articles in the press, publications, and various news sources
- Work with our Content and Product Marketing teams to identify key updates and topics to develop into media outreach campaigns
- Disseminate complex concepts into simple headlines, copy, and briefings to media partners, associations, and industry organizations
- Identify and maintain association and industry groups to build our network of influence
- Seek out and develop educational, promotional, and partner opportunities with associations
- Assist with the development of internal and external company communications
- Coordinate with Boeing Communications to provide media plan and engagement efforts

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range : $73,000 - $90,000.
