Job Summary
The Senior Corporate PR Specialist reactively responds to news media requests for subject matter experts and coordinate media interviews. Creates and disseminates proactive releases related to health topics and corporate initiatives. Improve knowledge and skills in the areas of current health care trends and issues of interest to the media and health care consumers. Must keep abreast of regulatory and governing standards as well as corporate policies and procedures, and corporate and regional planning and development. Must be proficient in the use of corporate and regional information systems. Superior written and oral communications skills are necessary. A Senior Corporate PR Specialist must have the ability to comprehend the Novant Health organization in its entirety and recognize interdependence and connections between and among its various systems and processes. Must show a cooperative spirit in participating as a member of a regional PR team, in providing PR support to various regional services and product lines, and in functioning as a colleague of PR staff of other Novant Health entities. A Senior Corporate PR Specialist must be capable of developing and continuing cordial relationships with the media and community leaders that represent Novant Health to those constituencies appropriately.
