Inkhouse is searching for an Account Director who will lead multiple client accounts, serving as a strategic advisor and primary client contact while overseeing account strategy, execution, and team performance. This role will independently lead client meetings and strategy discussions, set team priorities, manage deliverables and timelines, and provide senior-level counsel across media relations, thought leadership, speaking and awards, social media, and broader communications strategies.
The ideal candidate is a strategic, creative, and confident communications leader who can manage multiple accounts and teams, build strong client relationships, identify opportunities to grow existing business, and consistently deliver high-quality work that advances client goals. They will also mentor junior team members, contribute to new business efforts, and serve as a role model for Inkhouse values and collaborative leadership. Location: This role is based in our Seattle, WA office and requires in-office presence two days per week.
Accountabilities and qualifications include managing a portfolio of client accounts, setting team priorities, leading strategic media outreach, developing strategic plans, monitoring client goals, ensuring teams pursue proactive communications opportunities, fostering a collaborative team environment, supporting new business initiatives, and contributing to ongoing professional development.
Essential skills include 7+ years of experience in public relations, communications, or a related field, expertise in working with technology clients, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong media relations expertise, ability to identify compelling stories, confident communicator with strong executive presence, ability to manage multiple client accounts, proven ability to lead and mentor teams.
Salary Range: $110,000-$120,000 (commensurate with experience and skills)
