Know Your Rights : Privacy Notice for California Applicants : Responsibilities The Corporate Vice President of Communications and Public Relations is a strategic leader responsible for extensive writing, editing, planning, development, and execution of the organization's communications and public relations efforts. This role serves as a primary spokesperson for Prime Healthcare and oversees all corporate communications, media relations, investor communications, government relations support, and PR / community engagement activities. The leader manages a team responsible for internal communications, executive communications, media relations, crisis communications, corporate sponsorships, foundation activities, website development, digital marketing, and social media strategy. Collaboration with hospital leadership across the system is essential to advance the companys strategic goals. Hospital Communications teams report indirectly to this role. Qualifications Required qualifications : Bachelors degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field. 10+ years of successful communications experience in a healthcare delivery setting, including leadership at the C-suite level. Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior executives, board members, physician leaders, elected officials, and community stakeholders. Relationship-building experience with local and national media, including outlets like Beckers Healthcare and Modern Healthcare. Track record of leading corporate and regional communications, crisis management, media relations, and labor communications. A hands-on leadership style, working alongside teams under tight deadlines. Strong organizational, communication, planning, leadership, and diplomatic skills to foster positive relationships across the health system. Effective coaching and mentoring abilities. Preferred qualifications : Experience in large, complex, national health systems. Experience with investor relations. Knowledge of government relations and experience working with elected officials and stakeholders. Connections or experience with national news media in key markets such as LA, NYC, and Midwest. Masters degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, Marketing, or Journalism. Prime Healthcare offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, a 401(k) plan, medical / dental / vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and voluntary benefits. The estimated total compensation range is $214,240 to $300,000 annually, depending on various factors. Employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses based on performance.
