Job Description :

Microchip has a full-time opportunity for an Intern - Technician at our new facility in Tuscaloosa, Alabama for the Spring '26 semester. This role offers the opportunity to operate in a highly technical & scientific environment employing a variety of manufacturing and testing techniques. Successful candidate will support the following engineering activities :

• Design, Test, Check-out, Modification, Fabrication & Assembly of prototype electromechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, RF / Microwave devices and specialized test equipment.
• Applications include Electronic Circuits, Microwave RF, and Logic Systems.
• Work from Schematics, Diagrams, Written and Verbal Descriptions, Layouts or Defined plans to perform testing, Check-out and troubleshooting functions.
• Perform Operation Test and Fault isolation on systems and equipment.
• Assist in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions.
• Assist in design, construction, test, and check-out of test equipment.
• Use manufacturing, test, development, or diagnostic equipment, including, but not limited to, test programs, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators and specialized test apparatus.

Requirements / Qualifications :

Candidates are required to provide proof of either US citizenship, Permanent US residency or classification as a protected individual as defined in 8 USC 1324b (a) (3).
