The Director of Operations will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the Commissionís Office of Public Safety, including scheduling, assignment of work locations, ensuring compliance with department rules and regulations, investigating allegations of misconduct, and determining levels of discipline resulting from such investigations. The position will supervise all public safety personnel directly, enforce Department and BPHC policies, procedures, and directives related to safety and security, and coordinate responses to safety and security threats, medical emergencies, and crime detection / prevention. The position will report to the Director of Administration and Finance, a member of the Commission'S Executive Office. DUTIES
- Generate weekly departmental rosters, and consider and implement any redeployments when necessary.
- Schedule necessary overtime predicated upon vacation, personal, military, FMLA, and sick time requests.
- As Record Keeper, maintain the departmentís incident reports, incident report tracking sheets, overtime slips, copies of parking tickets, patrol sheets, personal, sick, and vacation request forms, medical documentation, parking tickets, court forms, change
in assignment forms, and all departmental directives.
