Job description

Job Title : Public Health Program Specialist

Must be a US Citizen and reside in the state of MO.

Essential knowledge and functions :

  • Experience developing training materials, including PowerPoints, handouts, and quizzes.
  • Must be able to accomplish program goals.
  • Ability to work with the Statewide Community Health Worker Advisory Committee.
  • Must research, draft and submit grant deliverables and their associated measures .
  • Ability to research, draft and submit grant deliverables and their associated measures.
  • Must assure timely preparation of federal reports, program updates, contracts and / or amendments to procure program services.
  • Must have background knowledge of chronic disease and recommended preventative care preferred.
  • Must have experience working with community partners and coalitions preferred.
  • Must have experience developing and strengthening internal and external partnerships.

Preferred qualifications / skills :

  • This is a highly responsible position requiring the contracted employee to work with a broad range of partners and stakeholders with varying levels of knowledge and expertise.
  • The contracted employee must have strong communication skills.
  • The contracted employee must also be willing to work as a team with staff and other program managers.
  • Must have proficiency in commonly used office computer programs is required.
  • Travel throughout the state is required with occasional travel for out-of-state training opportunities.
